Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our field crew, you’ll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our specialized application equipment.
- Operate and maintain dragline land application equipment to apply liquid manure in accordance with all Iowa DNR regulations and guidelines.
- Complete and file all necessary site-specific paperwork accurately for each job to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance on tractors and application equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
- Represent Puck professionally at customer sites, providing clear communication and excellent service.
- Assist in the service shop with repairs and equipment preparation when not in the field.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the application schedule and manager.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable, mechanically-inclined individual who thrives in a team-oriented, outdoor environment.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally and regionally, with some overnight travel expected.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; prior experience with agricultural or heavy equipment is a significant advantage.
- The ability to obtain and maintain Iowa DNR certification for applying liquid manure (training will be provided).
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks all day, including frequent bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 75 lbs occasionally), and working in all weather conditions.
- A strong safety awareness, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit crew.
