 Key Responsibilities

As a Farm Hand, you will be involved in a diverse range of tasks essential to the farm’s daily life and seasonal cycles.

• Provide daily care for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their overall health and well-being.
• Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on farm machinery such as tractors and forklifts to support various field and facility tasks.
• Assist with all phases of crop management, from planting and cultivation to irrigation and harvesting, following established agricultural practices.
• Use hand and power tools to complete projects like fencing, building repairs, and general maintenance around the farm.
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized barns, storage areas, and worksites.
• Provide supervision and guidance to other farm workers as directed to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Assist with animal handling during health checks, moves, or veterinary visits.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with practical experience and a strong work ethic. The ideal person will have:

• Hands-on experience in an agricultural setting, with a background in animal care (animal husbandry) and or crop production.
• Mechanical knowledge and comfort with operating and performing routine maintenance on farm machinery and equipment.
• The ability to use various hand and power tools effectively.
• The physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A reliable, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Additional skills such as welding, equine care, or greenhouse management are beneficial but not required.
