Company Overview
The client is a national furniture brand known for quality products and reliable logistics operations. Based in Blacktown, the warehouse team handles receiving, picking, packing, and assembling furniture, ensuring products reach customers in perfect condition. Employees work in a structured environment with clear processes and a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack furniture orders according to specifications (Pick to Paper, no RF scanning)
- Load and unload trucks and containers manually
- Palletise, strap, shrink wrap, restack, and consolidate stock as required
- Assemble kit-set furniture, including tables, chairs, and outdoor flat-pack items using hand and power tools
- Follow assembly plans accurately to complete full furniture sets
- Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse, disposing of wrapping materials and product boxes
- Match paperwork to customer orders and verify final documentation before dispatch
- Perform general warehouse labour tasks, including manual handling and two-person lifts up to 20 kgs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in picking, packing, palletising, shrink-wrapping, or warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail to prevent damage to products
- Knowledge of WHS practices in a warehouse environment
- Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 20 kgs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately
- Advantageous: furniture assembly experience, trades assistant background, hand/power tool use, experience reading assembly plans, LF forklift license (forklift operators earn $36.50 hr)
