Key Responsibilities
As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the medical facility. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing detailed zone cleaning of assigned areas, including patient rooms, waiting areas, hallways, and offices.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure a spotless environment.
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including fixtures, mirrors, and floors.
- Dusting furniture, window sills, light fixtures, and wiping down all surfaces and high-touch points.
- Collecting and properly disposing of trash and bio-hazard waste from designated areas.
- Restocking essential supplies like paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed.
- Working collaboratively with the cleaning team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who embody a professional and proactive attitude. The successful applicant will have:
- A strong work ethic and a reliable, team-oriented mindset.
- The ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods, and comfort with a significant amount of walking during a shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to following cleaning protocols for a medical environment.
- The ability to pass a comprehensive background check and a 9-panel drug screen, which are required for this position.
- Good communication skills and the ability to take direction from supervisors.
Previous professional cleaning experience is beneficial, but a positive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
