Key Responsibilities
Your day will be structured around the efficient and careful handling of customer orders. Your primary duties include:
- Conducting a thorough pre-delivery vehicle inspection to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
- Accurately packing, loading, and securing products onto the truck according to the delivery run sheet, invoices, and job orders.
- Completing point-to-point deliveries on assigned routes, ensuring all goods arrive in perfect condition and on schedule.
- Unloading goods at customer sites as per their specific requirements and obtaining formal delivery confirmations (e.g., signatures, POD).
- Reviewing orders with customers upon delivery to confirm accuracy and resolve any immediate queries.
- Maintaining clear, ongoing communication with the traffic controller and customer service team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Managing and reporting any returns or delivery disputes, and completing daily vehicle logs and basic maintenance checks.
Qualifications
To be effective in this role, you will need:
- A valid Singapore Class 3 driving license with a clean driving record.
- Good physical fitness for loading and unloading cargo throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and proper documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional customer interaction.
- A reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic.
- Familiarity with Singapore roads and good route planning skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance checks is beneficial.
