Key Responsibilities
You will be a vital link between our bakery and our customers. Your core tasks will include:
- Starting your shift at our Woolston bakery to carefully pack orders, ensuring every item is correct and secure for transport.
- Safely and responsibly driving our delivery vehicle across Christchurch to meet customer schedules.
- Acting as the friendly face of Bellbird Bakery on the road, providing excellent service at each stop.
- Working efficiently under time pressure to ensure all deliveries are completed within the designated window.
- Maintaining high standards by cleaning down the packing and delivery areas at the start and end of your shift.
- Working collaboratively with the weekend baking team to ensure seamless operations from start to finish.
Qualifications
We need someone who is reliable above all else. The right person for this role will have:
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and a responsible driving record.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality your timeliness is critical to our customers’ success.
- The physical ability to handle repeated heavy and awkward lifting throughout your shift.
- A strong eye for detail to ensure order accuracy and quality presentation.
- Confidence communicating with customers and working as part of a team, as well as the initiative to work autonomously on the road.
- The ability to work well under pressure to meet strict morning deadlines.
- A genuine interest in our products and providing great service is a wonderful bonus.
