Key Responsibilities
As a General Farm Worker, you will be assigned various crucial tasks essential to our production cycle. Your duties will adapt daily based on operational needs and may include:
- Operating and assisting with farm machinery and equipment, including tractors for field preparation and crawfish boats for harvesting.
- Performing manual field tasks such as hoeing weeds, spot spraying, shoveling, planting, fertilizing, and harvesting crops.
- Maintaining field infrastructure, including repairing fences, levees, farm roads, and general upkeep of equipment and shop areas.
- Engaging in crawfish-specific tasks: manually preparing bait, checking and repairing traps, and grading/washing crawfish for shipment.
- Loading and unloading trucks with crops, supplies, and tools; may include driving farm vehicles to transport materials and workers.
- Performing general farm maintenance and incidental duties as needed, such as building repairs and groundskeeping.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Have a minimum of three months of verifiable, positive prior experience in a similar farm labor role.
- Demonstrate the physical capability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Be prepared to work long hours on your feet, often in bent or stooped positions, and in all types of outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Be willing to comply with company policies, including potential random or post-accident drug testing and background checks post-hire.

We support our seasonal team with the following provisions:
- Suitable housing is provided for the duration of employment.
- All necessary tools and equipment are furnished.
- A competitive hourly rate between $27.00 and $35.00.
- In addition to the guaranteed wage, raises and or performance-based bonuses may be offered at the company’s discretion.
- The employer guarantees to offer at least 40 hours of work per week, subject to weather and crop conditions.
- During peak periods, there may be opportunities to work beyond the standard day, potentially up to 12-14 hours.
