Key Responsibilities
You will be a key player in our production process, ensuring efficiency and quality at every step. Your core duties will include:
- Preparing and cooking large volumes of food according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality specifications.
- Strictly adhering to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols, including proper temperature control and storage.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including workstations and equipment.
- Assisting with inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting shortages.
- Collaborating with the kitchen manager and team to plan production schedules and meet all delivery deadlines.
- Monitoring cooking processes closely to ensure optimal flavor, texture, and food safety.
- Supporting general kitchen operations, including prep work, dishwashing, and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a high-volume kitchen, catering, or central production setting.
- Solid knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP principles) and proper food handling procedures.
- The ability to follow recipes with precision and produce consistent, high-quality results.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle heavy items (e.g., stock pots, cases of ingredients).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
