Key Responsibilities
As an owner/driver, you will be the face of AllWaste for your customers. Your core duties will include:
- Operating your vehicle to safely and efficiently collect and empty waste skips from building sites and commercial premises.
- Providing friendly, professional service during every client interaction.
- Managing your own daily schedule and workload to maximise service efficiency and revenue.
- Completing basic digital documentation and reporting using company-provided systems (e.g., iPad).
- Maintaining your vehicle and equipment to the highest safety and operational standards.
- Upholding AllWaste’s reputation for reliability and excellent customer relationships.
Qualifications
To be successful in this entrepreneurial role, you will need:
- A current, clean Class 2 driver’s licence.
- Prior experience as a professional driver.
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Basic computer literacy for using digital job management systems.
- The ability to establish and operate as a sole trader company.
- The means to access finance to purchase the required commercial vehicle.
- A current TSL (Transport Service Licence) or the ability to obtain one.
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic.
