About the Role
This is a continuing (permanent) part-time position with hours from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM, Monday to Friday. As a Cleaner at UC, you will be a valued member of our Cleaning Services team, working independently to maintain high standards across our vibrant campus. What You Will Do
Your work each morning sets the tone for a productive day across the university.
- Provide a high standard of cleaning and hygiene throughout your designated campus areas, including academic and administrative buildings.
- Perform tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Empty rubbish bins and manage waste disposal.
- Clean and restock bathrooms and kitchenette facilities.
- Work autonomously to complete all scheduled tasks within your shift, using your initiative to maintain quality.
Who You Are
We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and take ownership of their work.
- Must be punctual, physically fit, and able to work unsupervised with plenty of initiative.
- Previous cleaning experience is required. Commercial cleaning experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- The ability to contribute positively to our team culture.
- You must have New Zealand or Australian citizenship/permanent residency, or a valid NZ work visa.
