Key Responsibilities
As a Crew Member-Operator, you will be on the frontline of delivering essential road surfacing projects. Your key duties will include:
- Safely operating a range of mobile plant machinery and equipment for asphalt laying and spray seal operations.
- Working effectively as part of a close-knit crew to efficiently complete surfacing projects to a high standard.
- Contributing to a “Zero Harm” safety culture by adhering to all site safety protocols and procedures without exception.
- Assisting with general crew tasks, including preparation, clean-up, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Being available for intrastate travel as required to support project needs across Tasmania.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Essential: A current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Essential: Previous hands-on experience in Spray Seal or Asphalt work.
- Essential: Proven ability to operate mobile plant machinery and equipment.
- Essential: A strong team ethic and a demonstrable commitment to workplace safety.
- Preferred (Highly Advantageous):
- A Current Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) Driver’s Licence.
- Experience as a Bitumen Sprayer Truck Driver or in Bitumen Haulage.
- Dangerous Goods Certification and current “working safely with bitumen” training.
- A trade or mechanical background.
