Good Earth Tools is seeking a hands-on Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic production team in Festus, MO. Key Responsibilities
You will be a vital part of our fabrication process, responsible for turning specifications into finished products. Your key duties include:
- Fabricating, assembling, and welding metal products according to work orders, diagrams, and templates using various welding techniques.
- Safely operating fabrication shop machinery and equipment, making necessary adjustments based on job specifications.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and routing sheets to cut, notch, fit, and weld materials accurately.
- Inspecting first-run parts for quality, accuracy, and functionality against print specifications.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot fit or assembly issues and suggest improvements.
- Maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable professional with the following:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on metal fabrication experience.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in fitting and welding materials to precise specifications.
- Must be able to work a 4-day work week schedule: 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- A strong, reliable attendance record and the ability to work 40 hours per week.
- The physical capability for moderate to heavy work, including safely lifting 50+ pounds and standing/moving throughout the shift.
