Key Responsibilities
As an Ag Maintenance Technician II, you will play a critical role in our harvest operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing comprehensive repair, maintenance, and rebuilds on pea combines, corn harvesters, and light trucks during both the off-season and active harvest.
- Utilizing our work order system (SAP) to complete jobs, make notifications, and document all preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs.
- Troubleshooting complex hydraulic, electrical, and GPS systems on harvest equipment and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Conducting combine pressure testing and identifying any foreign material in equipment or product.
- Performing welding repairs on equipment as needed.
- Safely transporting seasonal harvest operator crews to worksites.
- Being an active participant in our safety programs, strictly following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and contributing to 5-S initiatives.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable technician with a strong mechanical foundation. The ideal candidate will have:
- One to three (1-3) years of related agricultural or heavy equipment maintenance experience, or a technical school degree/certificate.
- The ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex service manuals and work order systems.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with field leads, managers, and other technicians.
- A steadfast commitment to safety and proactive participation in company safety programs.
- Welding experience and familiarity with agricultural harvest equipment (Oxbo) is highly advantageous.
