Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the electrical integrity and performance of our critical recycling equipment. Your key duties will include:

  • Investigating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical problems on process lines, extruders, grinders, conveyors, and auxiliary systems to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Performing regular preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Installing, wiring, and re-wiring electrical devices such as contractors, VFDs, motors, sensors, solenoids, and control panels.
  • Operating and testing equipment to verify the success of repairs and maintenance work.
  • Participating in production changeovers to ensure efficient and correct electrical execution.
  • Applying a thorough working knowledge of electrical principles, wiring codes, and equipment specifications to all tasks.
  • Troubleshooting de-energized and live circuits, PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, and sensor networks.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified electrician with a strong foundation in industrial systems. The requirements for this role are:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose equipment issues and implement precise corrective measures.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, and various sensors.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and skills to complement electrical expertise.
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints is required.
  • Experience in wiring and designing control circuits.
  • A commitment to safety and following all established electrical and lockout/tagout procedures.
