Your Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of our trading desk, you will be empowered to drive commercial activity and grow your portfolio. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Proactively engaging in the day-to-day trading of bunker fuels, understanding client needs, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to support market share growth and business development.
- Building and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with both clients and suppliers through visits and consistent professional engagement.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams (operations, finance) and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of trades.
- Utilizing and mastering industry-specific trading tools and platforms to analyse market dynamics and make informed decisions.
- Contributing positively to our team-driven culture while also demonstrating the initiative to handle responsibilities independently.
The Profile We Seek
We are looking for a collaborative commercial talent with a proven sales mindset. The ideal candidate possesses:
- 3-5 years of direct experience within the bunker trading industry.
- A proven track record as an accomplished salesperson or trader, with a strong commitment to achieving results.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential. Proficiency in at least one additional language is a significant advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – you are a social, motivated individual who excels at building trust and rapport.
- A goal-oriented, positive mindset and the ability to thrive in a cooperative, yet fast-paced and agile, trading environment.
- While deep oil industry experience is beneficial, your sales drive, willingness to learn, and motivation to develop are paramount.
