Key Responsibilities
As a Civil Labourer, your duties may include:
- Assisting in the installation of stormwater, wastewater, and sewerage systems.
- Trenching, backfilling, and compacting.
- Pipe laying and preparation of bedding material.
- Site preparation, levelling, and ground compaction.
- Spotting for machinery operators and assisting with machine movement.
- Use of power tools and small plant as required.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work site.
- Supporting the wider team and following site health and safety protocols.
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- Minimum 6–12 months experience in civil construction preferred.
- WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) – desirable.
- Experience operating small machinery (excavators, loaders, compactors) – a bonus.
- Physically fit and capable of manual, outdoor work in varying conditions.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
