Key Responsibilities
As a professional Bus Driver with nzurban, you will be a vital part of Auckland’s public transport network. Your key duties will include:
- Safely operating our modern fleet, including new electric buses, on the NX2 and WX1 routes to a strict timetable, providing a smooth and reliable service for passengers.
- Providing excellent customer service by assisting passengers with information, ensuring a comfortable journey, and representing our company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensuring all necessary pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks are completed accurately and any defects are reported promptly.
- Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
- Being flexible and available to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings, to support the 18-hour daily operation of our services.
Qualifications
We are seeking professional drivers who meet the following essential criteria:
- Must hold a current, full New Zealand Class 4 driver’s license with a valid P endorsement and maintain a clean driving record.
- Must have New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work permit. Please note: We are unable to support visa applications or transfers for this role.
- Applicants should ideally reside in West Auckland or the North Shore. You must have flexibility to work a rotating roster across 7 days, as these are not standard Monday-Friday day shifts.
- A positive, safety-focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine pride in your work and vehicle.
