We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Facilities Cleaners to join our Parks and Reserves team, based in either Fairlie or Twizel. Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on role, you will be the frontline in presenting our district at its best. Your core duties will include:

  • Ensuring all council facilities, particularly public toilets, are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Completing scheduled cleaning of both interior and exterior surfaces of facilities.
  • Managing waste by emptying rubbish bins and ensuring proper disposal.
  • Travelling reliably between various sites across the Mackenzie District, from Fairlie to Twizel and the locations in between.
  • Working as part of a close-knit team to complete tasks efficiently and to deadline.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and operational procedures at all times.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full, clean Class 1 Driver Licence (essential for travel between sites).
  • Proven, relevant cleaning experience (essential).
  • The ability and willingness to work at least one weekend day as part of your regular roster.
  • A good level of physical fitness and a self-motivated, can-do attitude.
  • A strong health and safety focus and a positive, team-oriented approach to work.
  • Applicants must have New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work visa.
