Key Responsibilities
As a Passenger Boarding Bridge Technician, you will be entrusted with a wide range of critical systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing electrical and mechanical components on passenger boarding bridges and baggage handling systems.
- Maintaining and repairing the terminal’s mechanical plant equipment, including pumps, valves, chillers, boilers, motors, switchgear, and motor control centers.
- Surveying the overall condition of the terminal’s electrical systems and airport facilities to proactively identify needed repairs or updates.
- Troubleshooting complex motor controls, PLC systems, and HVAC controls for air handlers.
- Completing various electrical repairs and meticulously documenting all work performed.
- Utilizing computer skills for email, work order software, and basic Microsoft Office programs to manage tasks and communications.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly capable technician with proven hands-on experience. The minimum requirements for this role are:
- Three to five (3-5) years of direct electro-mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or plant setting.
- Strong, demonstrated ability to troubleshoot motor controls and a wide variety of electrical issues.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical distribution systems.
- PLC experience is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently and solve problems with strong troubleshooting skills.
- A valid Class C driver’s license.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience that will make you stand out:
- Prior conveyor system installation and maintenance experience.
- Maintenance experience within an airport environment is highly desired.
