Cervello Global Corporation is seeking several US Citizen Delivery Drivers to join our Specialized Transportation Services (STS) division in Japan. In this critical role, you’ll ensure the proper handling, processing, and last tactical mile pickup and delivery of sensitive Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial cargo shipments. You’ll transport cargo between Narita International Airport and Misawa Air Base or Yokota Air Base, adhering to all regulations while maintaining the integrity and security of every shipment. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport cargo in the designated country, adhering to all local and international transportation regulations.
- Operate transport vehicles with the utmost care, ensuring timely and secure delivery to designated locations, including Misawa Air Base and Yokota Air Base.
- Complete multiple deliveries per day as required by task orders.
- Communicate with origin and destination customers by phone to update them on delivery times, changes, or issues.
- Follow pre-planned routes accurately without deviation from set course or transportation facilities guides (TFG).
- Ensure cargo remains secure and undamaged during transport, taking all necessary precautions.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, distances covered, fuel consumption, and any incidents or challenges.
- Regularly inspect transport vehicles for potential issues and carry out basic maintenance tasks; report major concerns to the coordinator or management.
- Maintain clear communication with the coordinator and global dispatch team, updating them on progress, delays, or issues.
- Prioritize personal safety, the safety of the cargo, and the safety of others on the road, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Candidate MUST be physically located or live within 80 kilometers of Yokohama, Japan.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the transport vehicles used.
- Ability to follow pre-planned routes accurately without deviation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to update customers and dispatch by phone.
- Commitment to safety, security, and compliance with all regulations.
- Ability to maintain accurate logs and documentation.
- Physically capable of performing duties associated with loading, securing, and transporting cargo.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in specialized transportation, logistics, or handling DoD cargo.
- Familiarity with routes between Narita International Airport, Misawa Air Base, and Yokota Air Base.
- Knowledge of local and international transportation regulations in Japan.
