Key Responsibilities
Your role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Each day, you will:
- Carefully prepare delivery orders, checking items against invoices with great attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Safely load and unload customer orders onto the delivery vehicle, handling a variety of dry, chilled, and frozen goods.
- Drive responsibly across the Dunedin area, planning your route efficiently to meet delivery windows.
- Provide high-quality, friendly customer service at every stop, professionally representing the Kaan’s brand.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to ensure a smooth handover of orders and clear communication.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain a clean, tidy truck, reporting any issues promptly.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a team player who brings the right attitude and qualifications to the depot each morning:
- A current, full, and clean New Zealand Class 1 or Class 2 driver’s licence is essential.
- Previous experience in customer deliveries or a similar logistics role is a strong advantage.
- A natural focus on customer service you enjoy interacting with people and solving problems with a smile.
- The physical ability to safely lift and move various weights throughout your shift.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring every order is correct before it leaves the warehouse.
- The legal right to work in New Zealand.
