Key Responsibilities
You will be the operational cornerstone for our HVAC projects, balancing leadership with technical expertise. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Supporting the Contracts Manager with project planning, scheduling, and allocating resources efficiently.
- Overseeing and actively participating in HVAC installations, including ductwork, piping, and system setups.
- Ensuring all systems are correctly calibrated, commissioned, and meet precise specifications.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues swiftly to keep projects on track and clients happy.
- Supervising, mentoring, and coaching junior technicians to foster their growth and maintain a high-performing, engaged team.
Qualifications
We are looking for a proven leader with a solid technical foundation. The ideal candidate will bring:
- A Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Trade, Level 4) or at least 3 years of direct industry experience.
- Proven success in a trade leadership role, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Competency across all HVAC design and build installations, including the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- The ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- A current Electrical Service Technician (EST) Licence is preferred.
- A full New Zealand Driver’s Licence is also preferred.
