Key Responsibilities

This trainee position is designed to develop your leadership skills from the ground up. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working directly on the production floor to master all processes, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, on schedule, and to our strict quality standards.
  • Learning to lead a shift team, providing clear direction to ensure production systems are followed efficiently and targets are met.
  • Assisting the Production Supervisor in organising the daily workflow, assigning team members to specific production, cleaning, and housekeeping tasks.
  • Championing a culture of safety by strictly adhering to and promoting all Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Control (QA), and training protocols.
  • Helping to maintain a structured, disciplined, and positive working environment for a diverse team.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with the right blend of experience and personal attributes. You will be an ideal fit if you have:

  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment; a background in commercial laundry, manufacturing, or warehousing is a strong advantage.
  • A resilient and fair-minded personality, with the ability to provide clear structure and direction to a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail, particularly in quality control processes.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the resourcefulness to achieve goals effectively.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt positively to changing demands and priorities.
  • A Certificate III in Management or similar is beneficial, but demonstrated leadership potential and a willingness to learn are most important.
