Key Responsibilities

You will be the operational linchpin for assigned vessels, managing the entire port call process. Your core duties will include:

  • Providing physical attendance to vessels, ensuring all principal requirements and port formalities are executed accurately and on time.
  • Liaising and coordinating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including vessel Masters, owners, charterers, local authorities (e.g., MPA, PSA), and port service vendors.
  • Processing all necessary declarations and documentation for vessel entry, berthing, and departure, including mandatory reporting to government agencies.
  • Maintaining meticulous work files, ensuring all communications, reports, and documents are properly archived in the company’s data management system.
  • Finalizing and handing over complete port call documentation to the Disbursements Team promptly to facilitate accurate and timely invoicing.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in shipping agency operations or a closely related maritime field.
  • A good working knowledge of Singapore port procedures and Maritime & Port Authority (MPA) regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of standard Agency Shipping Operations procedures.
  • Prior experience attending to vessels at shipyards is a distinct advantage.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A positive attitude, high integrity, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work long and/or irregular hours, as required by vessel schedules.
