Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, prime, and paint various interior and exterior surfaces to maintain resort standards.
- Continuously inspect and repair any painting or wall covering deficiencies throughout the property.
- Perform preventive maintenance on wall coverings and related appurtenances.
- Assist with building renovations, including removing existing walls and reframing as needed.
- Inspect, patch, and repair damaged walls to ensure smooth, professional finishes.
- Complete all types of painting projects, such as refinishing wood trim, painting doors, and more.
- Select and apply compatible paints based on substrate and project requirements.
- Assist in developing scopes of work for painting projects to be outsourced.
- Oversee the quality of work performed by outside painting contractors.
- Provide services for basic building maintenance activities as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in drywall, painting, or related maintenance trades, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (including trade school training).
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work early, late, or weekend hours based on departmental schedules.
- Knowledge of electrical Lock Out-Tag Out procedures and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
- Knowledge in the use and care of tools, including cordless and corded power tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical and Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled office areas and outdoors in all types of weather.
- Requires lifting and adjusting heavy objects; potential contact with sharp, hot, or very cold supplies and equipment.
- May require scaling ladders and operating lifts.
- Employee must wear proper PPE and maintain safety procedures at all times.
- May be called into work outside normal hours or work long hours for emergency maintenance and repair situations.
- This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking in the casino environment.
