Key Responsibilities

As a Night Custodian, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks essential to daily operations, including:

• Performing thorough cleaning of classrooms, offices, and common areas, including sweeping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, and all sanitary fixtures daily.
• Washing interior and exterior windows, cleaning whiteboards, and maintaining all floors.
• Keeping building entrances, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat, clean, and free of debris or hazards.
• Assisting with snow removal and salting during winter months to ensure safe access.
• Conducting security checks to ensure all doors and windows are properly secured.
• Following all safety protocols and promptly reporting any maintenance concerns to the lead custodian.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• A High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• The ability to read and follow instructions for cleaning products and procedures.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, use an eight-foot ladder, and perform sustained physical tasks.
• A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently during night hours and maintain the confidentiality of school matters.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
