Key Responsibilities

You will be central to our technical service operations, ensuring every tool meets strict standards. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Sorting, setting up, and preparing tooling jobs for grinding based on specific customer applications and specifications.
• Operating and maintaining grinding machinery, including Tru-Tech and cylindrical grinders, to refurbish and manufacture tools.
• Inspecting tools for defects, bad grinds, or chips using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, Vernier calipers, and radius gauges.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accuracy in every job.
• Selecting the appropriate grinding wheels for each material and application.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with all safety and ISO standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable individual with a solid foundation in tool grinding. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years of experience in a similar tool grinding or precision machining role.
• Knowledge of various materials, tool types, and the capabilities of grinding machinery.
• The ability to read blueprints and apply math skills related to tool geometry.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and a keen eye for detail to identify imperfections.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.
• A CNC certificate is a plus.
