Key Responsibilities
This role requires you to wear two hats: that of a skilled welder and an on-site coordinator. Your key duties will include:
- Performing high-quality TIG, ARC, and Pipe Welding in both the workshop and at various project sites, ensuring work meets all specifications.
- Coordinating directly with Project Engineers, Clients, and Site Supervisors to monitor project schedules, report on work progress, and address any on-site issues.
- Supervising and inspecting the quality and quantity of work performed at project sites, ensuring all welding and fabrication adheres to our strict standards.
- Carrying out grinding and finishing work on iron, stainless steel, and aluminium to prepare or finish fabricated components.
- Leveraging any related experience in ACMV piping, insulation, or electrical work to better understand and coordinate integrated project requirements.
- Maintaining clear documentation and communication to ensure smooth workflow between the workshop team and field operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a solid welding foundation and the potential to coordinate. The ideal applicant will have:
- Substantial, proven experience as a Welder, with strong skills in TIG, ARC, and Pipe Welding.
- Demonstrable ability to read project drawings and understand technical specifications for fabrication and installation.
- An interest or emerging skill in site coordination, supervision, and client communication.
- Experience working with iron, stainless steel, and aluminium metals.
- Any additional experience related to air-conditioning (ACMV) piping, insulation, or electrical work is a valuable advantage, though not mandatory.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
