Key Responsibilities
As a Transport Driver, you will be essential to our daily mission. Your core duties will include:
- Safely operating a company-provided vehicle to transport clients to and from their non-emergency medical appointments, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Providing professional, courteous, and supportive interaction with every client, understanding the importance of their journey.
- Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure the fleet vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
- Utilizing provided technology, including tablets and navigation systems, to manage routes and schedules efficiently.
- Being available for flexible hours Monday through Friday, with an early morning start (5 AM), and understanding that routes may involve long trips across the state, including to Portland and Salem.
Qualifications
To ensure safety and quality service, we require our drivers to meet these standards:
- You must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years of driving experience.
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening (including marijuana) are mandatory.
- You must reside in or around the Astoria area to effectively serve our assigned routes.
- While not required, a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of customer service experience, is strongly preferred.
- We value familiarity with Oregon routes and a natural patience and empathy for those you serve.
