Key Responsibilities

As an Electronics and Instrumentation Maintenance Technician, you will be entrusted with the complex systems that keep our plant running. Your core responsibilities will focus on:

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues with a strong focus on industrial automation systems like PLCs, HMIs, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Setting up and operating a full suite of shop machinery, including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and welders, to fabricate or repair parts.
• Installing, repairing, and modifying hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems (single and 3-phase).
• Taking a proactive approach to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and contribute to preventive maintenance programs.
• Researching and sourcing necessary parts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Operating forklifts and hydraulic work platforms safely as needed.
• Maintaining meticulous paperwork, including maintenance logs, schematics, and PM documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for a detail-oriented technician with a solid technical foundation. The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or GED is required; a Technical School degree or equivalent hands-on experience is essential.
• Proven work experience in an industrial or manufacturing operations environment.
• Strong skills in diagnosing and programming industrial controls, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• The ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and schematics.
• Proficiency in mathematics for measurements, conversions, and calculations.
• The physical capability to meet job demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and working in varied conditions while wearing required PPE.
• A dependable, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
