Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for more than just driving. Your day will focus on ensuring materials reach their destination safely and on time.
- Operating a manual transmission flatbed day cab equipped with a Moffett truck-mounted forklift to load and unload shipments independently.
- Safely transporting packaged solar panels and racking materials to multiple job sites, typically making five or more stops per day.
- Personally securing all loads by properly strapping and checking freight, with some items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Completing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintaining all required driving logs and delivery documentation.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties during any periods when driving tasks are completed, helping to keep operations flowing smoothly.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused driver who meets these requirements.
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a current DOT Medical Card are mandatory.
- You must have at least 12 months of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last three years.
- Specific, hands-on experience operating a flatbed trailer and a Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) is required for this position.
- A clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and a history of safe driving with no major accidents.
- You should be physically able to handle freight and strap loads comfortably.
- A positive, professional work history that shows you are dependable and take pride in your work.
