Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our operations team, you will have a direct impact on the daily experience of students and staff. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining all assigned school facilities in a consistently clean, safe, and sanitary condition, including classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas.
• Performing daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, disinfecting sanitary fixtures, cleaning whiteboards, and mopping floors.
• Conducting regular security checks on doors and windows to ensure the safety of the building during occupancy.
• Keeping the school grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and free from debris.
• Participating in seasonal tasks such as snow removal from walkways and steps to ensure safe access.
• Washing interior and exterior windows to maintain a bright, welcoming environment.
• Following instructions for cleaning supplies and safely using equipment, including an eight-foot ladder for light tasks.
• Collaborating effectively with the day custodian and other staff, maintaining confidentiality on all school-related matters.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable individual who meets the following criteria:

• A High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• The ability to read and interpret basic instructions for cleaning supplies and tasks.
• Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and using an eight-foot ladder.
• A strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A respectful and professional demeanor, with an understanding of the importance of maintaining a confidential and secure school environment.
