Key Responsibilities

As a Heavy Haul Truck Driver at Twehous, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of materials and equipment. Your core duties will include:

• Safely operating and maintaining a Class A commercial vehicle to transport construction materials, machinery, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identifying minor repairs, and reporting major mechanical issues to the Shop Manager.
• Maintaining accurate logs, documenting mileage, hours, freight details, damages, and shortages in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicating effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients via wireless devices to report status, delays, or issues.
• Assisting with the loading and securing of cargo and ensuring its safe delivery.
• Adhering to all federal, state, and local traffic and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

We are looking for a professional driver who meets the following essential criteria:

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean driving record are required. Consent to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record check is mandatory.
• Prior experience in construction or heavy haul trucking is a strong asset. Must have basic math skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. Must be willing to work outdoors in all conditions, travel/work out of town, and work overtime, nights, and weekends as project demands.
•  Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs, bending, twisting, and operating machine controls.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical work screen.
