Your Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for producing high-integrity weldments that meet strict military and commercial standards.
- Perform high-proficiency MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and combinations in all positions.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, weld symbols, and NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) symbols.
- Prepare materials, set up, and fit components to meet precise process requirements.
- Perform visual inspection of welds to ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and NAVSEA codes and standards.
- Work with minimal supervision on non-routine tasks, adapting techniques to meet special needs.
- Conduct daily and weekly maintenance on welding equipment.
- Communicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments.
- Act as a resource for peers, sharing technical knowledge and safety practices.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and WHMIS standards.
- May participate in inspection duties (in-process, final, source).
Qualifications You Must Have
This role requires a specific combination of experience, skill, and citizenship.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional welding experience.
- Must be proficient and able to qualify in MIG and TIG processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and work to military-commercial codes (AWS, ASME, NAVSEA).
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and serve as a technical resource.
