Key Responsibilities

In this essential role, you will fabricate and assemble the core components of our marine structures. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Reading and interpreting detailed blueprints and welding symbols to fabricate dock frames, supports, and custom metal components to exact specifications.
  • Performing various welding processes (such as MIG or Flux-Core) on primarily steel and aluminum to create strong, water-worthy joints.
  • Operating fabrication shop equipment safely and efficiently, including saws, grinders, and drills, following all established safety protocols.
  • Using a tape measure and applying basic math skills to measure, cut, and fit materials accurately before welding.
  • Inspecting your own work for quality and consistency, ensuring all welds meet our standards for strength and appearance to withstand marine environments.
  • Collaborating with the team to problem-solve, optimize fabrication processes, and ensure projects are completed on time.

Qualifications

We are looking for a welder who combines technical skill with a strong work ethic. The right candidate will have:

  • The ability to read blueprints, recognize welding symbols, and use a tape measure with precision. Proficiency in common manufacturing and fabrication processes is required.
  • A solid understanding of industry safety practices, good mechanical aptitude, and a strong, demonstrated commitment to workplace safety above all else.
  • Prior welding experience is expected. Please bring your own welding hood, as a hands-on welding test will be administered during the interview process to assess skill level.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the willingness to do what it takes to complete jobs safely, correctly, and efficiently.
